The fact that the first thought that pops into your head while watching a documentary is 2 men getting bummed says more about you than it does about em...

Debbie should have never let herself be intimidated to drop the lawsuit against the school. He would've died if she hadn't have found him and that lame excuse of having a skeleton crew doesn't cut it. They tried to tell her he wasn't there without actually looking for him. His delayed medical treatment probably contributed to the coma, loss of big and small muscle memory, speech, hearing, and sight with residual headaches, nightmares, and stomach issues. She couldn't work and she should've been properly compensated. 😡🤬

So Em's talents/gifts in other areas of art besides rap was questioned as well. Had to prove he could draw and rap. No wonder he gets hurt when people try to downplay his God given talents. Been happening since he was a child. You don't constantly doubt children you encourage them.

      1. Gem Rose

I did nothing of the sort. I said talent/gift. Where did you see me say that Em did not hone his talent? Maybe I should not have used the phrase God given, especially because I don't believe in God. But people do have their own individual talents that can be seen as gifts and I think you understand that, you just want to be difficult. It has been said many times that Em's only subject he was good at in school at a very young age and accelerated in was English. That tells me he had a higher aptitude in that subject and it contributed to him becoming a masterful wordsmith. Yes, people are born with natural talent. My daughter loves to draw. She was drawing better than anyone else in her preschool class. She had not drawn until then. At the age of 3 I taught myself how to read. My aptitude in that area was higher than normal. That enabled me to have the ability to write good stories as a child. My first stories were better than most kids my age but as I practiced I got better. But I had a natural talent for words that I was able to build from. I never said Em was born as the best rapper in the world. I also didn't say he was born a master at drawing. You saw his drawings they had on the video he did at a very young age. It was impressive for a child that young. So impressive that the teachers didn't even believe he did them. That encompassed a natural talent. There are tons of people that can practice their whole entire lives and not be as good of a rapper or artist as Em. I cannot draw to save my life. No matter how much I practice I would never be able to draw the way Em was drawing as a child. You attacked me for things I didn't say, then forced words and created a narrative you tried to pin on me. I do not appreciate it and I stand by what I originally wrote. Science has proven time and time again that we are born with certain talents. It's genetics, the way our individual brains chooses to work and yes it is also hard work. I thought we all knew that about Em being as he made an entire movie about it? There are people that work almost their entire lives to play professional sports. They may even work harder than guys who have made it but they never reach their full potential. Adele never took one professional singing class until she was already Adele. She just always sang that way. She had a natural gift. She was taught to play guitar and she worked on her song writing skills but her voice was her voice. Mariah Carey was hitting whistle notes as a child. Her mother was an opera singer. That tells me there are genetics at play with her singing ability. I can practice from now until I'm 80 and I assure you, I'm never hitting whistle notes. I do not have that capability. It's not in my genetics, it's not a natural talent. I have nothing to build on to be able to do it. Period.

this is where i have a problem. you outright downplayed all the time and effort he put into practicing his skills..no one is born talented. you hone your skills by practicing. i hate it when people say its god gifted. no man its not. its his persistence and resilience that made him what he is.

OMG i was a rocker too, so are my kids....................

    21. Jackie Salac

Eminem grew up around music. His mother and Uncle sharing that isn't "taking credit" for his accomplishments, it's the REALITY of his roots. I don't see this as his mother being at fault and his grandmother his "rescuer." His grandmother made similar decisions, repeated what she saw her mother do, as did her daughter, Eminem's mom. The lesson here isn't blame, that isn't a lesson. It's about the cycle, the pattern. He grew up, saw the cycle and worked to change. Change himself and change his behavior. If he can forgive his mother, then people on the outside looking in need to STOP judging her! She did what she learned, what she knew. That's the point here, THAT is the lesson. Someone comes along, starts going down the same path, SEES IT, consciously works to make different and better decisions and ends the pattern, the cycle of abuse.

I find it extremely interesting how he became a different person after his brain injury. It makes me wonder if he would be as amazing as he is, had he'd not suffered brain damage. Em is one of my top 5 rappers. He's the absolute BEST at what he does! He can freestyle and battle like no other! I'm so fascinated by him and I truly respect him as an artist. GOAT.
